Hanan began his studies at Victoria University in Wellington New Zealand [2006], finishing up a certificate in Audio Engineering at MAINZ in Christchurch the year before. In 2008 he transfered to Austin TX, to study at University of Texas under such professors as Bruce Pennycook, Mark Sarisky and Grammy nominated producer Mitch Watkins.

Hanan has completed several short films and documentaries working very closely with directors such as Angus Benfield, Nicolas Siegenthaler, Drew Xanthopoulos and Ken Robinson.

In March 2010, Hanan will return to Wellington to complete his final year of undergraduate studies and is looking into the possibility of continuing his future studies at either the University of Washington in Seattle or UC San Francisco.
